took a big bike ride, ending at dusk on the potomac - across the other side is d.c., the white spot to the right of my bike is the u.s. capitol bldg.
this is the potomac river frozen over - it looks like a broken up ice but actually its completey frozen, the slabs formed from previous feezes and now frozen together again. Just upstream of here it was completely white with a snow dump on top of it ( i was sitting on the wrong side of the train).
