what i did this week
it turns out forrest *somehow* got out of the backyard on saturday (still haven't figured that one out), and was hanging around the front. someone driving by picked her up thinking she was stray and with the help of some friends who were helping me blanket the neighbourhood with flyers managed to get her back on sunday... another bloody stressful ordeal courtesy of the most expensive dog in the world.
hmmm, should i be posting this.. last night we went and saw tom jones performing at wolf trap, an outdoor concert venue. its the heat of summer and the temperature late at night is still up around 30 and humidity is like a bath. poor old (really) tom lost a few gallons in sweat but still gave a pretty good show with many his old classics

NASA... or not. somewhere over there is the kennedy space centre and the space shuttle discovery. yep.. a wasted day going to florida for the shuttle launch only to spend most of it on the gridlocked roads at cape canaveral with 250000 other disappointed spectators.. the building in the distance on the right is the VAB (vehicle assembly building).
