northern west virginia, a rugged paradise... the beautiful wide ohio river and its surroundings destroyed by the most pitifully ugly coal mining towns

 

pensylvania, pittsburgh, porn...

 

welcome to ohio. we stopped in a small town store only to be told (before asking), by a woman that looked at us with a loathing scum of the earth countenance, that it is a dry town. outside we were greeted with these messages...

a u.s. airshow


the joint service open house 2005 air show at andrews airforce base. we were searched miles off the base and then bused onto it. bush also made an unexpected departure in air force 1. a day of high security..

 

and patriotism

 

but with all this security and technology about, theres still room for beer.

 

the memphis belle - the first heavy bomber to complete 25 missions in WWII and return without losing a single crew member..

a heritage flight consisting of (from top clockwise) F-15 Eagle, F-86, F-4, and A-10 Thunderbolt..

 

the B-2 Spirit - only 20 of these were produced

 

"the Thunderbirds" F16 demonstration squadron

 

the stealthly F-117 Nighthawk

 

the B-52 Stratofortress

 

and the AV-8B Harrier doing a bit of backwards flying
