a weekend on the river
dennis and i headed off for a canoeing/kayaking/fishing/drinking weekend up the Potamac. this place was wonderful - a wide expanse of river with a long series of easy rapids, islands, bird life, turtles, deer, dogs going overboard!
... only 25 miles up river from where i live, this was the most relaxing weekend ever.
we came across some turtles on our way back up the canal - our friend Sydney took a walk along the canal and counted 40.
this is zane (scotty) and dennis, on our way back to the car we dragged the boats up to the canal for an easy paddle upstream.
